Wrath of Medusa 5 Reel Slot
One of Rival’s video slot releases known as a Rival Alive game, Games in the Alive group often will place the player in multiple environments that fit the game theme as they are on a quest for winnings.
This game starts out in a crumbling stone temple and can move to deep within the Medusa’s lair for the bonus round.
The game takes place at the edge of the known world on an island. A protagonist known as the Gorgon Medusa lurks in the barren wasteland. The entire area is encompassed by stone statues. To clarify, they are what is left of those foolish adventurers who attempted to steal her treasure. It’s obvious that legend has it she turned them in to stone for their actions.
Only the brave warrior Perseus even has a chance armed with his shield and sword. Are you prepared for an epic battle?

Wrath of Medusa Wild
Medusa herself is the wild symbol during regular game play. She acts as an expanding wild and can expand to fill the reel for bigger wins. Consequently the more often you see her on the board the larger your match wins can be.
Perseus is the scatter symbol and can land on any reel. Scatter wins are multiplied by the number of currently active lines. Landing 3 or more scatter symbols takes you to the free spin bonus round.
The round is called the Stone Soldier Pick’em Bonus. At the start of bonus round, you choose a stone soldier. Your choice will have a free spins total.
Wild During Free Spins
During free spins round there is a different wild seen It is Perseus in his warrior helmet and us a sticky wild. He will replace all symbols except the scatter. Any time the wild is part of a new win, it will stay and trigger a re-spin. Additional wilds can appear and continue to trigger more re-spins as long as new wins are counted.
You end the round once you exhaust all re-spins and free spins. The bet for the free spins and respins are based on the wager that triggered the round.
The minimum coin value starts at $0.20 up to $5.00. There is a max number of coins at 10. This allows a total bet range of $0.20 up to $50.00 per spin.
We usually look for games with a little higher rtp but were pleasantly surprised at the results of this low volatility game. The rtp is listed as 93.86.
We think you will have some fun playing it also.
Wrath of Medusa Conclusion
If you have read many of our slot reviews you will recognize we like games where players make in game choices that affect the outcome of rounds. We enjoyed the stone solder pick’em rounds. The graphics are entertaining during the game as Medusa stands to the side pelting Perseus with spells.
Even though it is a low volatility game the rtp is a little low. We actually had a few nice sessions during testing and enjoyed the overall game play. Just because a game has a slightly lower rtp does not mean we will not play it. On the contrary, as long as it is low volatility, we often just play lower stakes. However, we usually will only play slots at 94% or above as a general rule. Additionally having 243 pay line wins available does make this game slightly more appealing.
While not our favorite Rival slot we will likely play it again. You will find this slot at most Rival casinos.
